Which intercooler pump are you using, and how are you controlling it?

i've got one and it doesn't...the 06-07 strut tower brace for the ls2 might clear as it is substantially taller the ls6 piece.

well since you have to cut up the underside of the hood in order to clear the LSA blower, i'm going to doubt that any OEM V1 strut tower braces will clear the LSA blower.

There's about a 1/4 inch of clearance between the blower and hood

what kind of heads would you need to use the blower without the adapters and how much room would that buy you.

If you had a ls2 you could put ls3 heads on it and bolt it on. But would still have to cut the hood.

Wouldn't you actually have more hood clearance on the LS2/ls3 head combo because you don't have the added height from the adapters there?

Yes but would still have to trim the bottom of the hood structure

he did it with adapter plates on an ls6. Would that not work on an ls2?

Yep. You can do it. But like with the LS6, the stock connecting rods aren't going to take more than 7-8 psi boost before epic failure.

These are designed to clear the V2 blower alignment pin:

I swore that I read up top some one saying you can bolt ls3 blower straight onto ls2 heads without adapter.. maybe I was dreaming.

He said in order to skip the adapters you'd need the ls3 heads on an ls2 block. I see where you might've tripped. Few posts up from your question.

Hmmm, where did that estimate come from? I have seen several folks running 10 psi but I have no idea how long the setup lasts. I have been on 7.5 psi for several years and no problems with the bottom end so far. I do believe that the tune has a LOT to do with how much boost these will take. The E67 controller and OS on the 06-07 is not the greatest (the E67 is good but the OS leaves a lot to be desired when dealing with boost). I bring this up because if you are experiencing knock then obviously the bottom isn't going to last as long.

I'd have to pull up my notes from 2011-2013. At least two users tried to break the 8 psi barrier on the V1 and promptly broke--I think--the wrist-pins on their connecting rods. I was planning on doing TVS2300 + LS3 heads + stock bottom end and the horror show promptly made me change my plans.
