Installing a Tow Hook?
Has anyone installed a (removable) tow hook for being on the track to thier Caddys?
I had to get my CTS-V towed off track (Thunderhill) last week and had to hook the rope to the Monte-Carlo bar and my hood got bent to the tune of $1,600!! Plus my Monte-Carlo bar got bent.
I wont be back on the track until next February so I do have some time. BMW, Porsche and Audi all come with screw in tow hooks. I gues the Germans expect thier cars to be driven hard and GM is more interested in keeping costs down!
Thanks, Eric.

dunno what a monte-carlo bar is. They couldn't hook up to a control arm and be gentle??? I only know of one guy that installed a tow hook...it was removable..but there was still a giant hole in his front bumper...the only way I think you can do it to make it pretty still is making it so the hole is under the lip of where the lower fascia is....then having like a 90* bar with a hook on the end that would fit up in there...Ive never looked so I dunno if theres even anything to attach to in there and I dont know how you could make it stay up in there..like on a quick disconnect or something.

Come on, I'm not the only person that takes their car to the track!
Thanks, Eric.
