05 or 07 CTSV?
I know ive asked this question a few times, but I still havent pulled the trigger on a V yet. I guess ive been waiting for the right one to come my way.
There are 3 different flavors around me now and I want some opinions.
I have 2 2005 V's and 1 2007.
both 2005's are like $22-$23k and have like 20-23k miles on them, which I think is pretty reasonable. The 2007 has 51,400 mi and is $24k.
So if you guys were to choose between the 05 's and the 07's which would you choose? I'm swaying toward the lower mileage slightly cheaper 05's myself, but I wanted some other opinions on the subject.

asking that question on here is going to get a lot of mixed answers. the guys that have the LS6 Vs will say go for the 05...us LS2s will say go for the 07. (or so i assume)
both similar prices, so either way you will be fine. both are great engines and will last a long time.

I do like the lower milage and price of the 05's, but I just want to make the right choice and not have buyers remorse.

So is the 07 at a dealer too? I you could get that one for a bit lower then I wouldn't even hesitate on that and just buy an extended warranty to 100k miles. My reasoning is that you have a higher power potential with the 6.0 over the 5.7.

as already stated, both engines are going to give you awesome performance. Personally if I had a choice of cars that were practicaly identical for roughly the same price but had half the mileage...kind of a no brainer.
A lot would have to do with color combination though as well....you have a link to post up to the cars?

i see you split your time between texas and chicago..........
if you are currently in chicago i would buy the one posted on the caddy forum. 04 with 49k miles and a nice list of mods for $17.9k...i also saw it on auto trader.
i just sold mine but i still check them out

Truck motor, ah ha, lol to that joke...Guess the LS6 is the modified truck motor then (think SSR with LS1) :p
Are you financing? If so, the 3-4% difference may make the 06-07 a more attractive vehicle. Nothing wrong with the 04-05, but the 06-07 does have a few little features (besides the better engine...he he, j/k ) that they added, plus the upgraded diff/axle, iirc [although many 04-05's have had theirs updated]...
Here are some changes between the years...Nothing major enough I suppose, but IMO it's always best to buy a later year than earlier, with respect to the mfr. working out bugs and such...

there is the link to caddy forum.
or go on auto trader and search for an 04 cts under 18k$ within a 25 mile radius of 60068.
****i stand corrected, it is an 04 not an 05 but it looks very clean****
