Oil
noticed a few minor oil puddles in the garage this morning... Oil not low but i did ask a friend about car smoking a lil bit over the weekend in OC... Where do these monster LS motors drip from? I can't find it just yet... any ideas where some of you guys have lost oil from...
Thanx in advance.

Pretty sure if it's leaking oil, it could be from the oilpan gasket or the rear main seal. Most likely the rear main from what I've heard especially if u can't see the leak but it's not very common that these motors leak period.

My car is too low to really even reach under, I just make ramps out of a couple of staggered 2x10's then throw a jack under it once the jack fits. A lift is even better though if you have access to one.

Check the oil filter... it's a bitch to tighten it without using a filter wrench... which I don't use. Occasionally I'll have to get underneath and tighten the filter some more.

I like the idea of the hex attachment on the K&N filter... I use AMSOIL... Again I just refuse to use a wrench or tool to tighten the filter it's just my personal preference

I've thought about and I just don't see spending the money on a new snout and throttle body for such a small gain... My uncle used a machinist on eBay for both his Vettes and has zero idle issues... For $125 and possible gains I'll take the risk. If I had a larger blower than I'd go for the 90mm
