Default Opinion - Matte Black, Piano Black, or Gunmetal on Infrared CTS-V?

Hey--

Sorry to jump on the color question bandwagon, but I've been agonizing over my Forgestar F14 order and think that I may have made a mistake in ordering piano (glossy) black wheels. Looking for your opinion here--what color do you like the best?

This is mine:

Couple of other redline / infrared CTS-V's (including a couple of photoshopped ones):

Gunmetal F14 via Photoshop (courtesy of dudesweet on the LS1Tech forums):

Opinions? I'm leaning toward matte right now, but I figured I'd solicit advice before sending in a change of order form.

I liek the Piano black, you just gotta be sure to keep the car and wheels clean.

Piano black looks sweet, I think you made a good choice.

Agreed with above. I prefer the gloss, especially on nice wheels like that.

I can see where CTSVBiggie is coming from. The problem with Forgestar's matte finish is that it's really, really matte. Zero reflectivity.

On the other hand, it's scary (not having seen it in person yet) wondering whether the piano finish will be nicely uniform or cheap/gaudy-looking.

Usually not a fan of black on any color car but black; reminds me of winter rims.
But it does look good on red; my vote is piano.

Piano black on the red is the only option IMO

Wow--I'm impressed by your unanimity. Okay, I'll give piano black a shot. Order stays as it is. Now if they'd only ship the darn things.

I'd go with gunmetal, then piano, then matte. Matte wheels look good if you never plan on washing your car again. On a clean car they look weird.

I think this is the closest real-life picture what my CTS-V will look like with the piano black wheels.

Those look more like black chrome than a gloss black.

I'll work on that other Photoshop for you tonight. And I agree that the photo above looks more like a black chrome color than piano black. That said, piano black does look pretty good on your car.

Here's another one with your car on gunmetal. I think gunmetal looks amazing with this color. But you can't go wrong with black...looks aggressive.

Gunmetal. Keeps the wheels from looking smaller and gives them some distinction. You can see the details of the wheels better.

I'm partial though.

Another Gunmetal vote. I've liked black wheels for a long time, but frankly it's pretty played out.

The problem is that my grille has the black mesh, and I'm not sure if gunmetal looks good with that.
