Intake help
Building a 415 lq9 n/a motor for my v1, the goal is 600 hp streetable. Went with an ls3 high flow top end heads and now im stuck on the intake, to reach this 600 i need as much air flow as possible so i went hunting, Holley's Modular High Flow Ram 102mm or Fast 102mm, has anyone tested the two out or know where i can find results for the most volume?
p.s hood clearance isnt an issue

Won't produce more power than a 90 or a 92 on a 346. Guaranteed.
Peak hp might be close to the 90/92 but there is no doubt that power/torque will suffer everywhere else with a 102 in comparison on a 346. Don't wanna ruin his thread talkin about it but it's a fact. Gain over stock intake... Yes. But nowhere near the gain you'd get with the 90 or 92.

Im sorry, I didnt mention 92mm FAST anywhere??. Thanks for clarifying that 102 makes more power than a stock manifold, its kinda what I said above Relax, there is no thread ruining. Your argument is moot. I simply replied to you saying the 102 is too much for a 346, it isnt, as you state, its better than stock manifold.
for the OP.
since 92mm intakes are no longer manufactured, I guess you can waste the time looking for one. Or just get the 102mm as both Never and I mentioned and benefit from the slightly better design

ive got a buddy here in ga that has a fast 102 for sale.. think he is looking for 700... he lost power over the factory ported ls3 tb and ported intake... since he lost power, he went back to the factory set up, as it can EASILY support that power... it was a 414 ls3...

Lol... Yeah... 346 guys... Buy the bulky Fast 102 and gain maybe 10hp over stock just because its a gain period over the stock manifold. Or... Look for an intake that isn't way too big and will actually benefit ur car with optimal gains substantially more than 10hp for the same or less money and buy a good condition fast 90 or 92...
No brainer IMO.
And this isn't just bullshit off the top of my head. It's information from a reputable shop. I almost ordered a 102 but didn't wanna lose all my low end and gain hardly anything for the $750 I was going to be spending. Maybe im weird but I like gettin the most for my money. Lol
