ATI Damper
After sitting on my ATI Blem damper for all of last year I finally got around to putting it on this past week. Everything was going fine until I went to put the new damper on and it slid right onto the snout with no issue what so ever. I am going to call ATI on Monday as it should be a press fit. Wondering if anyone has a crank or hub in box to compare my measurements to.
I am using part number 917266
Stock Balancer measured 1.4780
Snout on the Hub 1.4825
ATI 1.4830
Looking at some other specs on the ATI site (this was on summits site unpon further review and it is incorrect!)Found out after I brought this spec up regarding 918993 on the phone with Rick it looks like the pin kit is 1.4375 so it looks my micrometer may be a bit off. But the fact remains the same that the ATI damper will not press fit onto my crank.
Thoughts?

It already been done a week because the radiator cracked as I was taking the hoses off.
Hopefully they will help me out, since I bought the damper along time ago. Actually think it was the second thing I bought for the car as a just in case item.

how long ago did you buy this, I have one sitting in my garage that I have been waiting to get installed.
Hope I don't have any problems when I install it down the road. Is there any way to look at it and see

I installed my ATI Blem a week ago and pinned the crank - no issues. Here is a contact for ATI:

For future plans on running a procharger or any belt driven supercharger. Press fit is good, but with enough force that balancer can spin on there, and with out it pinned you can ruin a crank that way. Also cross pinned? not really. It is just a drill bit drilled half way into the balancer and half way into the crank with a round stock type key way installed behind the balancer bolt.

Spoke with Rick Hults at ATI and he is sending me a new hub to use. I did overnight one from Amazon just to get the car back on the road though Rick was awesome to deal with and even checked the size of the hub he is sending me against what measurments I had to ensure the next one was good.
A+ for customer service on ATI's part, even 6 months after purchase they did good which I wasnt planning on with the way companies are now-a-days. (thus my hasty purchase of a second hub)

What is the easiest way to remove an ATI damper? Is their install/removal kit required to remove it or can I rent something from autozone/advanced auto that will remove the ATI damper?
