2nd, but still perfectly quiet. I filled mine with 3M Window Weld after everything was mounted and situated. Figure that will add additional support over time.

So they aren't perfectly centered when they aren't rotating but once you get the shaft spinning, wouldn't it center itself up?

in theroy yes somewhat... but usually it just oscillates around and around inside the rubber carrier due to lack of support... it doesnt hold a solid true center.. Also the center weight of the driveshaft outweighs the no load rotating shaft (such as cruising down the highway when little torque is being applied)... and the giubo doesnt provide enough stiffness, so the shaft just hangs out non centered. The giubo can handle a good amount of misalignment before it kicks up a fuss.. SOOOO.... usually the driveshaft is resting at its lowest point in the carrier when going down the highway.. and flopping around like a fish when torque is applied. New OEM rubbers are somewhat stiff, and much more stiff than 100K+ mileage units.... My goal is to not have to sell the OEM rubbers anymore and use the 30a for guys that want smooth factory operation while noticing a stiffness about their drivetrain. BUT some guys will always want OEM.. so its still an option.

Any guesstimate on an ETA for when the core program will be ready? My car desperately needs this...

Core program will be available as soon as we receive our batch of retail carrier units which is approximately in 2 weeks. Still awaiting confirmation on several shafts for sale.. have only be able to physically receive one in stock so far.

Bio... put that shaft for sale in the classifieds.

ALSO... we are currently looking to purchase working driveshafts without torn cv boots. Please PM me.

If you try it and it doesn't work to your satisfaction, I would bet a dollar to a doughnut that DSS would buy it back. While I had my challenges, they seem to care about what people think about their products.

I can only speak from personal experience.. BUT.. the one piece geforce aluminum shaft my friend purchased for $800+... vibrations, harmonics into the cabin, rubbed the shifter, sent it off to get rebalanced, came back same issues.... put the stock shaft in with a 30a unit and loves it. no vibes, no noise, smooth as glass. even though the weight was 1/2 the stock shaft, you cant really tell a difference in the rpm speed.
