How stability control makes me look even more like an arsehole....
I cannot count the number of times I go to drift, power slide, pull a quick u-turn, burn out, dough nut, etc. etc and stability control turns on and kills my fun. I mean, I'm already being an ****, then it kicks on and makes me look worse! Like I have no idea what I'm doing, and own a car with too much power for my ability! It's easy to turn off traction, but by the time I decide I'm about to do something stupid, I never stop and think to myself; "hold on, gotta hold this button down for 10 (whole) seconds before I do this!"
I know I cannot be the only one who has done this before, please share!

I can't stand that crap and if it was easy to yank it all out I would. I don't care if it could possibly make me a little faster by the stop watch, I can drive my own car and I don't need the damn thing thinking for me.
I've thought about just getting a painless wiring harness for a 69 chevelle, a set of autometers and a stand alone for the motor but unfortunately the AC system has to be precise down to the degree on both sides of the car in order to be acceptable in today's world....screw that too..
At least I got rid of that needy *** stock NAV system POS....I don't miss that damn thing in the least

Reminds me of that episode of Top gear where they were invited to that movie set and Jeremy is like, "It's crucial we show the shot of them holding the TCS button for 7 secs. Anyone who watches our show knows that it takes 7 seconds for the TCS to turn off on a Jag."

I will say I actually like the feature, I just wish you could set it by driver (ie. 1 vs 2) to default to off or any of the modes really.
It is nice knowing if my wife or someone else wanted to drive the car that there is a security net there for people who may not be use to it.

you gotta touch it once, THEN hold it for 10 seconds. i have no idea if being in competitive driving mode with the stability control disabled does anything at all...

Does it? Makes sense. Now I wonder what loosens means. Also, I cannot get my car into competitive mode, something about a head unit change or some BS and not being updated correctly? Oh well, I don't want it.
