Life with my 2007 CTS-V was short lived.
Proud owner of this amazing car!! Unfortunately it was short lived. I bought it bone stock low mileage never modded about 6 months ago. I owned nothing but hondas (most of them turbo) and a 2011 maxima daily. Needed something with a little kick 4door and powerful, so did some research and fell in love with this car didnt like how it looked to much stock but a drop and some minor mods its a beauty. thanks to this car I will never drive anything FWD again. I was dissapointed in the WEAK rear DIFFERENTIAL (always having to think twice before a launch) The seats and steering are pretty ugly and what was cadillac thinking when they made this car with the 6lug!!
but man it was a blast to drive and very powerful for bieng stock, kept up with a good amount of newer mustang 5.0 in my area and beat many Kswaps which they are dime a dozen down here in Miami. Im DEF in the market for another one but will be 2009+. Want to thank LS1 tech for all the good information helped me out alot bieng that I had no idea what these cars were about.
Anway here some 4 month progress pics. Not much but a nice change.
Some lady ran a red light, insurance company decided to total it which sucks cause I had about 80% of my twin 35r build together for it, def keeping that and putting it on my next V.
ALSO I have a few parts for sale on it
- Magnaflow catback 2.5" all the way back from the cats (mandrel bend). XPIPE very clean
- Spoiler (black) with hardware kit
- RALCO short shifter modifed with a 12x1.5 thread on top.
- H&R springs (trimmed). and Mighty mouse shock top hats.
- Black front and REAR ctsv floor mats (ebay) amazing quality center V emblem

Sent you a text...
Sorry to see this, was a clean V... Although, the damage doesn't look like it would come close to totalling it. Buy that thing back and get it back on the road.

Yea dude, buy that thing back and take it to a good shop. That might be like $8k in damage but depending on what they will give you it might make sense... Or buy it back and sell everything that isn't damaged... I call dibs on the rear drivers side sail panel.

I was considering it but I feel this is my second chance to get the 2009+ V, I love the v1 but alot of money to invest into drivetrain to support 600+ whp. Stock motor and auto trans run 10sec passes all day.
Anway I have pics upon request for the parts.

How much did u trim the H&R springs? It sits nice, I got the H&R also but I want more low. I'm not far from u, I live in broward. So far I've only seen only one more V1 other than mine down here. Goodluck on getting the v2, definitely a step up.

I trimmed the front 1 full coil, the back .4 of a coil. If that makes sense.

thats a nothing job.and since someone else hit you its your call about it being totalled unless you dont own it(have title)or youre happy with what theyre giving you.i have a shop about four hours away if you need someone to deal with the ins co and fix it.i hit a deer with mine a little over a year ago and they didnt even think about totalling it.but ins co can be tricky
