Default And the hits keep on coming!

Got my second rebuilt trans in... it has been shifting a lot better than the last one. Still a little crunch when shifting into 4th at redline but its not constant. I was worried because that's how the last one started before it got worse. Shop doesn't think its the ls7 clutch because its not dragging and its only in the one gear. Other option is the trans mount or motor mounts are causing a misalignment somewhere. My shop still thinks its the rebuilt though. Decided to go ahead and have the headers put on anyway and was due to do that next week along with an Ed Hutchings tune.

Driving into work today and was making some high rpm shifts to see if I can duplicate the synchro crunch... pulled in at work and smelled something. ****, trans fluid dripping down the rear o2 sensor. Have to take it in and put it on a lift to see where its leaking from. I cant win.

I think slow or inadequate hydraulics makes the most sense...check this out.

Trans leak is probably just the vent tube. It happens with high rpms.

my last car (06 acura TL) I went through three transmission rebuilts in 20k miles.. I finally gave up on the car as the third rebuilt was junking out and the shop basically said they will not fix it again for free...

That was my opportunity to get rid of that and get into the V....

Good luck man!!

I had read that somewhere, might be what it is. Seeing as how the whole assembly is only a couple months old I was hoping I didn't lose a seal already. ill find out tomorrow when it goes up.

You know I asked them about that, but being that its only 1 gear makes it suspect. I am going to try redline or another fluid and see if that helps.

Dealer overfilled my trans when I was still under warranty. It wasn't extreme, but it would leave a small puddle every time it drive it. Drain it and refill, it's probably fine.

Ya that may be the case, my OEM was legit until 145k....Then it sprung a leak on the top of the case half, I sprung for a rebuild.... worst decision and/or shop rebuilds ever....

Whats done is done, now I have a V out of it so it wasn't too bad
