You were right, according to C&D's article showing a lower price of $1,490 in base form. That won't include Recaro seats or the 8spd auto, among other things, but it's a Cadillac so won't be bare or even close to bare. The way I'd like it would add $11,895 to the base price. Recaro seats... $2,300, which is really sad. Performance Package, $6,195 and that's so high, I think I'd pass. Indeed for that price, I'd just move up to the CTS or over to a Camaro.

We'll see about sales, but I think it will actually do very well in the segment, particularly for a Cadillac.

I'm also curious to see how much is left in the engine with bolt ons. I haven't really looked into what kind of power has been made with the ctsv sport.
The LF3 gets many changes to become the LF4 and I'm not convinced they 3 cannot make more power before replacing factory turbo's, but after that move, the LF4 should drown it thanks to better internals, even though it's not rated all that much more powerful. I am getting a little feeling this is underrated. GM says the 4 has 6psi more boost. Considering the difference there vs output...

On the other hand, it goes about 3.9 to 0-60 and I'm thinking it will pull off a 12.0 @ 120 on the 1/4. Maybe 11.9-12.2, but in that realm. Of course, many say it will weigh in around 3,600 too, but I still think 3,700. In 3 months, it has gone on a big diet in magazines from 3,700 to about 3,570 and that's just in C&D alone.

It's nice to know the cost, but I want the rest of the info. This little car is quickly growing on me. Still, I don't know that I'm willing to fork over 65-70k for the trim I'd want. I still prefer the CTS too, but at even more $$...

te 65-70k is the normal price of entry for cars in this range. The last cts-v was in this range new when it was in the e90 m3 class. I'm ok with the price, i just need to find the money.

FWIW, chief engineer Tony Roma is quoted as saying the ATS-V runs the 1/4 in 12.2 @ 115 MPH.

As for price Car & Driver has indicated a fully optioned ATS-V will total $75,545 . IMO, that's too pricey.

Regardless of the final fully optioned price that's damn expensive. Wouldn't think with this kind of price it bodes very well for the price of the new CTS-V .

After watching the 0-138-0 run, I think it's gonna be about that quick(maybe 11.9's), but I think the mph will be higher. Of course, I have no clue why he'd say it's less than it is, so it makes ya wonder.

Keep in mind, several of those add on parts at the bottom of the page are included in the more expensive Packages, like the $1,300 data recorder in the track package... that also includes the 5k carbon fiber pakage. The buyer just gets a little break for the package.

I just wish the track package could be ordered for the same price, but instead of the recorder, the Recaro seats were included! Those seats are cool, I admit it... but dang!

Yeah, the max prices I figured should account for the included/excluded items although the allowed combos can get confusing so I could have easily screwed it up. That's why I also figured a seperate Track Pack max since it can't be had with a lot of stuff. Regardless, it's a cool car and I hope they sell a bunch to help keep the V Series going.
