yes, "help".

she'll try to manhandle and lift up anything you present her with. these rotors were her match, though.

Those are his hands. They're just really huge rotors.

A curse upon Nick's house. He has officially gotten me obsessed with researching this conversion. I was looking through VMR's inventory and more than a couple of their wheels would look real good on a V. $1100 shipped for some 19s plus tires...dammit...

i'd be more prone to keeping the stock wheels if i wasn't wanting to replace the brakes right now, too.

i'd also be more willing to leave it as is if i were going to trust in my first decision on nice wheels, but i know i'm going to want to go bigger once i figure out how a 20x9/10 setup fits.

Do all the proper measurements, and if you dont know how there are plenty of how to on the internet...

I had 18x8.5 18x9.5 19x9.5 and now 19x10 and 20x12. What i have learnt is the 18x8.5 fits perfectly, the 9.5 and larger need the rear fender pulled out to fit the tires. I was running 275 then 305 and now 325. The 275 fit like a glove, the 305 needed the fender to come out an inch, the 325 needs another inch totally two. I have the MAP offset Trailing arm, and Penske shocks so that gave me more inner breathing space. If you get the offset correct, then needin a spacer is minimal and fitment is easier. You may need longer studs, which i recommend the GMPP or APR.

Get all your numbers right and this will be more fun...

that's the difference, though. i don't care about running super wide tires. i just want wide wheels.

since i am running normal spec'd wheels this year i'll find a day at some point to roll my fenders really nicely and go from there. instead of pulling fenders i'd rather run more camber.

rotors are machined to fit on the hubs. price of admission: $0.00.

it's good to have machinists in the family.

But if you were to pay for that service, what's the ballpark on that...$25 a rotor?

i would think it'd be based on the time to do it, but something like $50-100 is a good, conservative estimate.

and tires!

update, kinda.

in case you're wondering, four wheels and tires fit in the V no problem. two tires up front and four wheels in the back with the other two tires. no big deal.

This should work but before pulling the trigger, I'll research it again....you get conflicting stories....
It will work.

Better pass by the beer shop and pickup a couple 48 pack cases. Its gonna be a long weekend.

Start off easy with the fronts then shift your attention to the rear.

The rear will need a little more patience for you have to remove that PITA spring and re-install it again for the E-brake.

Get a buddy to help, thus the reason for two cases...

Use loctite on all your bolts for the hubs and torque properly...

Someone mentioned going "IN". MY goal was to go IN as far as possible and then pull the fender if a spacer was needed......

Here is my insight.

After tackling the D2 true coilover in the back, it takes up more space than the traditional setup, so it was all for naught for me.

You can loose/gain 1.25" and if you really want to run wider wheels on the back, keep the traditional mounting of the coils.

I have also narrowed the coil spring locating arm, so as to take advantage of that additional area for the widest wheel possible.

Note on the coils; the larger diameter wheel you run, the wider wheel you can run as the shock leans in/away from the wheel.....

I have the Stock, BMR, MAP and CS trailing arms, so I am covered there.

My fenders are rolled and I have successfully ran 275s without any rubbing.(nothing surprising)

I am probably going to get flamed for the following statements.....

My plans are 20x11 out back with 315.30.20s.
..................18x 9 up front with 255.40.18s, on the street.

I have already picked out my wheels.

At the track, GTO spares & 275s on 18s.

I am going simple, starting with the back.

With Nick(bio) ordering hubs and getting different ones on each order, I feel same for cheap to moderately priced or even JY specials.

Parts Store rotors and stock e-brake to avoid that expense right now.

I need new brake rotors, pads and with 150k on the car and I hate my drilled rotors it is time......

Just my .02.

Thanks Nick!
