Went for a ride in my friends 2013 Camaro SS...
Scared.The.$#it.Out.Of.Me.
His car did not feel fun to drive, and he told me first through third are useless gears unless he gives less than 15% throttle.
Has anyone here regretted going Forced Induction because they lost so much drivability?
***Not a Camaro SS, it was a ZL1

Not for 1 second...the mp 112 is considered a smaller blower but the car feels much better than stock and the boost is almost instant...for a street car I'm almost satisfied. I would love to drive a Eforce boosted V tho. Even with a decent size CAM my car still has good street manners...and I'm still on the stock clutch. That will be my next mod...how much hp was the SS at?

He has the 2013 Supercharged Camaro SS with an Intake Box, thats it.
Car has magnetic ride suspension or whatever, so the car is setup properly, its just a beast. Too much power for the street.

Smh. Since when is stock suspension good enough? Or proper setup. Also tires play a big role.

Something is not right If a stock SS can't even keep traction. If I were him I'd be investing in some tires and suspension. When I was 16 it was fun doing burnouts and donuts. Now I think its pretty fun chasing bikes, supercars, and passing ten cars on the outside of a cloverleaf on ramp.
Just my opinion.

he TOLD you? Talk is cheap... did you first hand witness this unable to get traction in 3rd? I suspect no, since you stated 'he told me'. I would simply call BS. Somewhere there is Important side information missing. (e.g. modified, what one perceives as no traction in 3rd, narrow tires, on an ice road, etc...)

Also, ZL1's have 305 section Goodyear F1 Supercar G2's on it. Unless it's really cold out, he shouldn't be complaining that much about traction.
My car, though mostly stock and not supercharged, hooks great on the street under proper conditions.

Do you mean a ZL1? SS's aren't supercharged from the factory and only the ZL1 came with Mag ride suspension.
