Does anyone know if any GM dealer can do the fob programming, or do I need to take my car to a Caddy specific dealer? The nearest Caddy dealer to me is a lot farther than the closest 5 Chevy/Buick/GMC dealers so I'd rather visit one of them if possible. Just got the car a few weeks ago and neither fob works, verified both batteries are good, so I'm assuming they might just need to be re-programmed for whatever reason. Thanks.
You can take it to any gm dealer. They may do it for free but maybe not. Either way a locksmith will be cheaper if the dealer charges you book hour on it.
If you have no remote, they will require a Tech 2 tool to program yours. Make sure you have the correct model for your year car, because some dealers will charge you no matter what as long as they hook up the Tech 2. Make sure that you have a remote 1 if you're getting this programed for the only remote.
If you have a remote 1, then all you need is a remote 2 and some internet searches and you'll find the how to.

Thanks guys, and I have both remotes for the car, just neither of them work for some reason. Hoping it's just a programming issue that needs to be sorted out.
Might not be an issue with the fobs themselves or the programming, I found this little guy hanging off the rear window the other day and a guy on a CTS V Facebook page said it could be the antenna for the keyless entry. That would certainly explain why neither remote is currently working I suppose. Can anyone here verify if this is indeed the antenna for the keyless system?
Try disassembling the remote and using something metallic to connect the traces on the circuitboard instead of using the button on the rubber keypad. When I first picked my V up the #1 remote would not lock/unlock because the conductive film had worn off the back of the rubber keypad. I just cut a couple pieces of aluminum foil tape and stuck them to the back side of the buttons on the keypad. Although I later found out that replacement housings/keypads are dirt cheap on ebay.

Are you saying that if you have one working remote/key; you can use those to program an eBay purchased #2 fob and key?
