Knock Sensors part numbers needed
Was wondering what everyone used for Parts numbers of knock sensors on a ls2 build, and what extension you guys used as well.

What ever you do! drill and tap those holes before installing the motor in the car! ask me how I know!!!
That is if car is LS6 and you're putting in the ls2.
Also, get the longer harness extension. This guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Knock-Sensor-Extension-Wiring-Harness-LS1-LS6-to-LS2-Conversion-Adapter-/161847005378?hash=item25aed550c2&vxp=mtr

Oh and you're welcome. Next time you just get

Tried a search, but got different answers, I am putting in a built LS2 into the V and saw that they had updated connectors for ls1/2/3 and 7s so just wanted to make sure before i bought what I needed. So what I was wanting to make sure that I get the right part numbers for ls2 knockers and an extension to reach where the original ls6 knockers did, or do I have to get the ls6 knockers and drill and tap? I know some people had to drill and tap for clearance on the headers.

Yes it is an 04 with ls6, I am attempting to throw and ls2 in. Sorry for not being specific and thank you for backing me up. This is my first engine build and swap and trying to do it right by gettting books and come to you guys for help. I didn't expect so much negativity for just asking for some info and help. From what I understand by recent comments, get ls6 knock sensors, drill and tap the block for them, and get extension harness which i know I need. But instead of tapping into the block can I just run down the bolts to the block size?

No. You will have to drill and Tap the block.
The LS6 sensor you can simply reuse from the motor coming out. If you don't have the motor, you will still need the ls6 sensors. And the harness extension. The ls2 sensors simply will not work. And the ls6 have a 10mm bolt where as the ls2 I believe is an 8mm. So not only will they not work if you extend them out, they will hit the exhaust. Drilling and tapping the block is no big deal. You should not fear it. Then, you shouldn't be butt hurt on a forum since I didn't sugar coat the answer. K pumpkin?
Edit: I doubt there is any meat to machine down the sensors. The ls6 are not like the ls2, they don't have bolts. The threads are part of the entire sensor. Not separate.
