So Lq4 had some rusted in side main cap bolts, got them all out.

Machine shop says motor looks A1 aside from some piston skirt wear and shiny cylinder walls. So its getting :

-New pistons
-New ring set
-Cylinder hone
-New Cam bearings
-New Main bearings
-New Rod bearings
-New Rear main seal

Then jam all my parts into the shortblock.

Should be back from Machine Shop Wed-Thurs next week, then a weekend to get it in car... cannnnnnt wait!

Should run fantastic for years now!

Car was done saturday.. tons of oil PSI and runs like a bat out of hell. Put over 500k on it and dumped break in oil last night, no shavings, hardly any paste on magnet. Filled with normal ol' GTX and a delco filter. Tune happens Sunday.

Had my hood painted last winter, never saw it beside car. Brought it to work cause I am installing Monday at our body shop.. ya.. itll look fantastic

Hate I have to use Hoodpins, but rather be safe then sorry. Used outside edges so its good and secure. Latch in middle, pins on outside edge

It's for the best. I've had fiberglass hoods lift up on me before and even twist from the heat. I wouldn't hesitate using hood pins. Car looks immaculate.

Well, have changed the oil twice since motor build, comes out clean and 0 shavings.

Just using Delco filter and Castrol GTX 10w30, going to change it every 4-5000km

Only thing I need is some small 3" cats to weld in Y pipe behind long tubes, anybody have anything or leads or something similar to this : Anybody have any leads for compact 3" converters to fit behind longtubes in the ypipe for the Camaro? Looking for 2, smaller the better.. Something like this - http://www.performanceexhaust.com.au/~5642
