Gonna test this new carb spacer....what do y'all think?

But on a side note.....that's gotta be a blast with the six speed!!!!

I'm sure the 63 jet is gonna be a blast! I just gotta figure out what I'm gonna do to extend my MPH legs or else I'm gonna have to shut it down early and play with 1/8 mile tunes. I'm kinda considering putting a taller tire on it or even a tighter converter but either option will make it even more of a pig NA and will basically turn it into a bottle rocket. I just gotta figure out if I'm ok with that. My decision would be much easier if I could fill my own bottles......

Yeah, with 29 degrees the timing mark was a little right of the middle of the strap on most holes but was close to being past the bend on #8. I read the timing mark after every pass but more to make sure it was still safe. The mph results leaves no doubt in my mind where it made the most power.

Both cars have 4.11s. The Trans Am has a Moser 12-bolt with 4.11s and the Camaro has a Strange 9 inch with 4.11s.

Yeah, I'm afraid your right. That kinda sucks since I just put this 9 inch in the car with 4.11s. That's why I'm hoping I can maybe gear it down with taller tires until I'm ready to commit to a gear swap.

Currently on 28's. I think I could go to 29s without too much drama but I dont think a 30 would fit at my ride height. The insides of the wheel wells aren't very forgiving and I really don't want to mini-tub it. I need to do some more research though on nastyz28.com. Plenty of guys over there running all sorts of tire combos I could learn from.

Between 7300 and 7400. It was really hard to watch the tach and determine where it was pointing vs. when I crossed the stripe. I'm embarrassed to aske this, but can we datalog with our MSD boxes? I really don't remember if thats an option. If so, it would at least be helpful to see my max RPM at the end of the run and I could concentrate on lifting just after the stripe.
I used my numbers in a few converter efficiency calculators and I'm seeing between 13 and 14% slip at the stripe on the spray. I need to call PTC and see what they think but I'm still considering going to a taller tire rather than messing with the converter (if that's a viable option) since rear tires will be one of the next things I need to buy anyway. I'm just not sure if taller tire would just make the converter slip harder anyway? I know it probably will on the launch but I'm not sure if the effect is the same at the top of the track. I need to ask PTC.

That is a ton of slip. Mine is like 5 to 7%. I go through at 6500 with a 3.90 gear and 275s.
Data logging is not built in to our MSDs, not sure if there is some interface to make that happen without buying a whole data logging system that just takes the ignition signal.

OK, that's what I thought but wanted to be sure I wasn't brain farting something. I wish I would have thought to aim Tony's Go Pro at the tach while I had it available to me. Maybe I'll have to rig up some sort of roll bar mount for my regular video camera to point it at the tach during a pass. That may be the only way I know for sure....but I'm pretty sure it's in the 7300-7400 range. I know for sure the 7K shift light is on and the 7500 rev limiter is not......LOL.
