You take the sensors off the original motor and adapt them to your LS. You can get a T for the oil pressure sender. For water temp you will need to adapt the sender, since it is mechanical most likely by T ing something into a radiator line. The stock temp sender is too small for much of anything else. Another option is the brass block heater plug, you can easily tap that for 1/2 NPT

I run mechanical oil pressure with adapter fittings. I run electric water temp with a aftermarket adapter to goes from metric to 1/8 NPT for the electrical sensor. I have to open the inside of it up where the sensor goes but ot works.

I drilled and tapped my head for the mechanical sensor. I also broke the plastic off the oil sensor behind the valley cover and drilled and tapped that for 1/8 npt. No issues either. No adapter fittings to break

For oil pressure I drilled and tapped my oil cooler bypass for 1/8" npt

For mech temp I made up a TEE that goes inline on the out flowing heater hose right by the water pump

Default oil pressure

I 'gutted' the factory oil sender at the back of the block and there was a little hole. I pressed the tubing for the oil gauge in - was very tight. I put a glob of JB Weld just in case. That was 2 years ago, works perfectly.

If you drill the brass plug for the water temp youll have to make some kind of adapter because the temp probe is too long and hits the cylinder walls. This is what I done and it works great. Ill see if I can find some pictures of it.

This ^ or just drill out the factory sender after knocking the sender stuff off the top.

Drill existing temp sender hole in the head to 37/64" (verify that pretty sure that's right) and tap the hole with 3/8 NPT.

I retapped one of the factory water temp holes in the cylinder head and threaded the Autometer adapter in there. Thread tape and tfe paste sealed it up great. Eric L

The one on the left is the stock brass heater plug drilled and tapped 1/2 npt. The second is a 1/2 to 3/8 npt reducer. The last one I got from either a sunpro or equus adapter kit
