We have been slow at work this summer, and I didn't work yesterday.........but I have the opposite problem here in Michigan. Nice mild weather..........but no fuel pump, so no track for me, lol. So I spent the day clearing dead and fallen trees from around the pond and cutting wood.

I was looking through my camshaft data and I found a combo that TopBrent originally turned me on to and it made me think of you. I know you were doubting whether copying Dave's combo was a good choice because of your own results. Well, I found another guy with a similar combo in a heavy *** Chevelle (#3750) who made about the exact same power according to the drag race calculator:

Tech username: IheartLS1:
Chevelle 3750lbs, 239/247, 110lsa+4, 10.60s/126- stock shortblock, CFM ported square port heads.
585 Horsepower

Tech username: Dmmizell:
Mustang 2900lbs, 239/247, 110lsa+4, 9.87/137 - stock heads
581 Horsepower

Not likely to be a coincidence that these guys near identical combos made near identical results. I would keep working at it. The reward should be great.

IIRC the guys name is Mike. He is on the Chevelle boards more than here. I guess the only big difference is that Mikes heads are ported, and I think hes running a 2004R. Im currently talking to different converter companies trying to decide whos going to restall my 8" and get me closer to a 5000 stall. That will be this winter. For now im just going to wait until my fuel pump comes back from magnafuel, check my shifter cable and linkage, and start over. Sorry, thread jack over. Eric L

Found the guy on Chevelle site, but hasn't been there since 2011
Read until my head hurt...no "great find" on combo/ET's.
Did find his Youtube page, but looking for email or better way to contact.

Found this so far...
8" inch ATI treemaster spec'd by ATI for my combination, stall 3800.
60ft times 1.55/mph 135
Sent the converter to Ultimate, reworked by Lenny to stall at 4500.
60ft times best of 1.38/mph 137+
Almost .2 in the 60'. That's like .4-.6 better ET in the 1320.

You are seriously dating yourself here. You know a good friend of mine's grandfather actually wrote a lot of those Hardy Boys books. He also had his own series called Happy Hollisters childrens books.

I cant help it, me and Jason (my 12 year old son), are currently peeling our way through the entire Hardy boys series written by Franklin W Dixon, a pen name used by many different authors. That's cool that your friends grand father was one of them. Ill have to tell Jason, he will think that's cool. Eric L
