which carb??? possible dominator?
6.0, l92 heads, custom fti cam, 4.30 gears, 5500 stall turbo 350. I shift right at 7k. I have a vic jr, with a 950 ultra hp. 96 jets front and rear with 50cc pump in front. Got a well known LS engine builder says I am killing it with this carb. 950 wont move enough air. Says I need a Dominator. Whats ya'lls opinion on this? Would a dominator pick it up? My buddy says it will slow it down.

Too big already, dominator will kill it.
I'm running a similar 6.0 on e85, got 5200 convertor peak 7200. Running a modified 850 holley body that flows 950 and running 95/107 jets.
Whats the go with square jets? Need to adjust your primary air bleeds and pvcrs, then drop jet and actually use your power valve

#2750 Raceweight 10.08@134
Horsepower(drag race calculator): 516 - 7200 Shift
Fast89stang
Raceweight 2965 6.34@107
Horsepower(drag race calculator): 544 - 7000 shift.
I would say Fast89stang is about one of the best sorted out combos on here. I would be inclined to listen to ATwelveSec02Z28, he has worked his way up and knows.

What size tyre you running with that 4.30 gearing?
Just get a dominator victor intake, and run some 9 second passes! Hope you don't run out of rear gear though, with the way your converter should be working you'd probably get away with 3.9 or 4.1 gear easily. But then again a large intake might see you through to 7500 provided the cam will get up there okay.

I ran 10.000@135.5 1.45 60ft, more in it with tuning at track, but os for a bit
Still think it will be too much air, happy to be proven wrong. Keen to see a ls3 super vic on there or bigger manifold
Cams specs??

Look close at the specs for your Holley 950HP carb, 1.376 venturi, 1.75 thottle bore.
It is MUCH more restrictive than an 850 Mighty Demon 1.562 venturi, 1.75 throttle bore.
Even a 750 Mighty Demon has a larger venturi size at 1.400!
Holley REALLY **** the bed when they called that carb a 950, it is nothing more than a 750, with an 850 base plate.
My opinion is get you an 850 Mighty Demon, since I love those carbs, but if you are a die hard Holley guy, than a 1000HP is near identical specs to the Demon. There are also other 4150 sized carbs that can honestly flow more than the 2 I mention as well. then maybe add a spacer to get some plenum volume under it and your set.

Thanks guys for the replies. Only reason I ask about a dominator is mike Lough (who built van Burgess 275 cars engine) says my 950 is too small. Yeti on the bullet says he bets I pick up at least 2 tenths with dominator. But I don't know. Mine has been good, but mike says he don't see how it runs this good.

Yep as speedtigger responded 231/243 111+3 which I'm not sure will be enough cam for a larger intake. Only one way to find out really.
Oh and yeah, worked with numbers most of my life, remembering cam specs is easier than family birthdays for me!
