When using the performer rpm intake, can the stock valley cover be reused? I see eldebrock sells a cover, but is that just to delete the knock sensors holes??? Could I just get creative with filling/sealing them on the stock cover?

Made out of 1/4 thick aluminum plate. 6 inches wide or so. Was already that width just had to drill the holes and cut the design. Then scuffed it up wit a scotch pad or it can be polished.
