Tried to start the car before a date night with my wife last night. Car didn't turn over and after looking it over, I have the starter wired wrong. Hopefully didn't pop the solenoid but I will have more time tonight and tomorrow to hopefully get it going.

Got the flange yolk in for the 8.8 and it lines up as expected. I have contacted the drive shaft shop local to me and they are awaiting the measurements. Bought another set of ramps at lunch today to get the car off the ground with the suspension loaded.

Hope to be putting around the neighborhood early next week or this weekend if they can crank it out.

Attempted to take it for test drive and had a few issues that kept the car from going anywhere. The shifter cable is fucky and so is the throttle cable. I am going to do some research this morning and order some good parts. Wasn't able to get the car into gear and the throttle cable is kinking, not allowing the throttle to close all the way. Not worth the hassle so I will buy some good **** this week.

Filmed this last one on accident in my pocket. Running pig rich and I cant get this cheap o regulator to go less than 12psi at the carb. I will be ordering a holley regulator this morning and a jet kit.

Some progress to report.

So i will confess and admit that i bought a Speedmaster shifter that looks like the bandit. Lesson learned!! it was the biggest POS. Car now has a B&M Stealth Magnum Grip Pro Stick Shifter in it now. Install was easy and adjustment was cake.

Car did move under its own power on Monday but I believe the vacuum hose I used was too thin walled and we didnt get far. I have ordered some turbosmart silicone hose, holley main jet set, holley fuel press regulator and some diaphragms for the carb. They were a bit leaky and this current regulator will not go below 12psi.

Its so rich right now it turns the concrete black!

Small up dates. Now that Christmas is over i will start back at it.

The hoses worked out perfect, they are a little funky and wish the hoses were all on one side, but for now this will get me going.

I ordered Turbosmart silicone vacuum hose and I plan to run this for the vacuum on the trans. The other hose i was using was collapsing. I also ordered a fuel pressure regulator and a set of jets for the carb.

Hoping to get the fuel pressure down and jet the carb down 4 sizes on each side. Its pig rich at the moment and stains the concrete lol
