Default Looking for a car to restore...

I want to get a car to restore. A guy who parks at the school I go to just bought an old IROC-Z that has a clean body, needs paint, and needs interior work (Dash cracks!!!!!). The car sounds and runs fine. If I fully restored that car to factory. Would i retain its value? I don't want to buy it for 1500 or 2000 and have it worth 3000 when I put 4 grand in it.

The price after restoration is all dependent upon the demand for that type of vehicle. The IROC Camaros and all third-gens in general have not reached their "Hey-Day," in my opinion. There's no telling if some day they may be rare and sought after, but as for right now I have yet to see a decent market for these cars. No one goes browsing specifically for an IROC to fill their void as a "performance car," and they're not really considered collectors cars yet.

For a sure bet you're better off finding an older model muscle. This is not to say that driving a nice and restored IROC 350TPI wouldn't be sweet
