Default Easiest way to verify SLP options on an ss?

I have the vin of a potential 'next car' that I'm looking at and I want to double check dhat ss options it has like the diff, bilstein, exhaust etc. Is there a site I can punch the vin into or are the codes for SLP options on the doors or lid?

Appreciate any input !

The 2 SS RPO's I know of are WU8 for the SS option and then Y2Y.

I noticed the lid says slp in it. Does it by chance have the SLP lid option or did all ss' have a lid with SLP? My best guess is the SLP lid says it and the Std ss lid uses the z28 lid.

If it's a plain old black lid with white SLP lettering, it's just an aftermarket lid. Not an indicator of an SLP car. Heck I put an SLP lid on my Z28, and I know SLP didn't touch that car. If you are really just trying to see if it's a real SS the WU8 code is what you are looking for on the door sticker. If that isn't there, it's not a real SS. BTW make sure the door stick VIN matches the VIN plate in the window.

Door matches the vin I know it's a real ss just trying to figure out the ss options. The lid say SLP but it looks factory with a sticker on it just like the STD lids. The SLP is molded in not painted in like the SLP lid I bought for my old z28

Thats the Blackwing lid then. Check the pass door for another sticker, I think it's usually a breakdown of the Y2Y code.

Call or email SLP. That's the quickest way to verify (besides the door label).

I just picked up a 97 SS and just realized it's an SLP car. The is a tag on the end of each door stated that the car was modified by SLP. It's just about the size of the RPO tag located in about the same spot. I was wondering how rare the car's are- similar to a firehawk I guess? My 97 has a Vortech supercharger on it and what appears to be an LT4 intake. Vortech obviously not part of the SLP package, not sure about the intake. The motor was hydrolocked, but the car only has 63K on it. Was planning to sell it, but now I'm not sure. Scott

You've got a nicely optioned SS, SS69LS1, but all 96-02 SSs will have that SLP label as they all went to SLP (like the Firehawks).

The LT4 intake was not factory unless you have one of the 100 LT4 SSs for the US, and they were all white/orange anniversary cars.

Sucks this ss didn't have y2y anywhere on the pass door I don't think it had any options. Plaque inside says 325 hp. Price wasdecwnt but mileage was high (125k) and even worse it's 4000 miles Away. I factored it all in and I think I'll keep looking. Here's the lid ibwas referring to... Unless it's a black sticker on a stock lid and I'm blind it looks nothing like the SLP lid I had on my z.

That's the "stock" 345hp blackwing lid.

The Y2Y should be on the Drivers side Tag with the other GM RPO's.

IF you have options, there will be a passenger door sticker with them listed.
