Default How big is the cam in your ls1?

I have the stock cam in my car still. I'm looking to do h/c/i this winter looking to see what everyone else is running. 90% street my thoughts so far are ls6 intake, prc stage 2.5 heads, 231/237 duration 617/602 lift 112lsa. Any suggestions are appreciated thanks

I would gget a bigger stall with that cam.

Ive had a TR230 111LSA, 236/232 110-1 LSA, F13 228/234 112+4LSA and the TRex 110LSA. The trex makes the most power but the fun street factor of the other 3 cant be beat. The first three made power from 2.5k and pulled to 6.4 no problem. The TRex makes great power and pulls crazy at higher speeds but sucks below 4k even with 59cc heads and 4.30 gears.

If I was going to pick any of those cams again it would be the FM13, best combo of all of them.
No surging, makes power early and pulls to 6.7k.

Hope that helps.

My cam is the Patriot Performance cam

225/229 .581/.591 114+4 LSA

It's not a bad starter cam but really do wish I went bigger. Through my 6 speed and 12 bolt I put down 412/390.

ms4, if your on the street alot i would advise you to go something alot smaller,i also have a m6, if you race alot its a great cam and loves spray , but there are soooooo many better cams out these days, i would say eps custom grind, you can get all you want out of a cam, i m going to swap my cam come spring since i drive it alot more than i thought i would, i will be going with eps hands down , im shocked on how well all there cams have done in test, and at the track

I'm running the Torquer v3 from TSP. It's a 231/234 .643/.598 on a 111 lsa. I love the cam. Not too big; not too small, imo. It also should work well with my future plans, which may or may not include a 100 shot.

MS4 here in my 383 ls1. just put a torquer V3 in my buddies six speed. it made like 416 or something with only full exhaust, cam, and tune. did a TSP Tsunami in my other buddies auto. it made 42X through a circle d and full exhaust.
