My f-bodies and their builds pic heavy

Alright, still havent got the new headlight in yet. No big deal, i can still see at night so its not a huge deal. But who cares about headlights at this time when i have better info to share.
Went to the tuner today (Jeremy Formato/Faster Proms) and had him finish the tune that was originally attempted back in January. I didnt realize it was that long ago but thats ok. I brought the car to him in Jamuary and we had to cut it short on the dyno due to the O-Ring problem on the pickup tube that was previously mentioned above. Thats all squared away and ive just been getting funds together to complete the tune since about May and i got enrolled back in school and it was just difficult to find the time with my schedule and his schedule but we got it done today.
Snapped some shots on the way down to him....i live far from him.
Gas station-
Arrived a little early so we waited to unload-
My runway model all strapped and ready-
Side shot-
So we get it strapped in and ready to go as you can see. He had some adjustments to make before getting the ball rolling, Idk how many of yall know of him but Jeremy is the best so whatever he tells me, thats what i take to heart and dont question. First pull i believe was 352rwhp/???tq didnt really pay much attention to the first numbers because we were still getting her dialed in. 4th and last pull ended at 380rwhp/368tq.....wasnt really happy about what it made i honestly thought it was going to do better.
The converter in the car just isnt right for the setup, its tight, built for my original idea of what i was doing with the engine and is just not necessary and overkill for what i ended up doing but also isnt right just in general. Transmission is having some electronic issues as well...fortunaty transmissions are my easy area and i barely have ask for the parts to do anything on the trans as alot of my friends still work doing trans. I think once the converter and trans issue is solved it willl place me closer to the 380rwhp area which is the low side of what i was expecting honestly.
Intake is also an issue, like i said before my tuner knows his stuff and ill take his word, my lingenfelter aluminum intake is just not a great intake for numbers or how my car is built, we really believed it choked the car out and didnt really do much for my performance.
Now i know alot of you guys dont believe in the dyno numbers as compared to track times but ill put it like this, its like watching football (which i dont) theres really no need to watch the game, you just need the end result, but theres a thrill and satusfaction of seeing those things inbetween and your team scoring a touchdown makes you feel better bout what you have dedicated towards it......so for what i dedicated towards it i was hoping to see a touchdown result on paper just for personal satisfaction, i didnt get the big win but i eventually will. It does feel better though to kind of know where to go from here on what needs to be done and today pointed me in the direction alot better. Shooting for 425-450rwhp so im not ungodly far away but i know what i need to accomplish next and that is somewhat of a relief lol....

Guess it is finally time to replace the alternator, lights were flickering while driving at night including dash lights. Thought bout doing the big 3 or goin with just a regular high amp altermator.
I did however leave school last night and ran a kid from my class in his 2014 Mustang 5.0 6 speed, hes CAI, exhaust and tuned and ended up pullin him. Didnt pull him by alot but i was slowly leaving him. I was surprised by that. I dont like mustangs but i have respect for the performance of the newer ones.

Just an update. I think since the build the car has loosened up some and will probably put better numbers down. It seemed real tight after build but now it seems like it is settling in. Picked up a 2013 1LE Camaro today so now ill be able to focus on the SS and not have to worry about down time.

New update on #1146
Car really took a beating in the Florida sun since 2008. I garaged it as much as I could but could never garage it 24/7 for more than a couple months because Ill be honest even though I love the car it's just not worth what my other toys were nor do I have the large amounts of $ in it like I do some of my others but I do love the car. Its harder to break in or steal a 99 Camaro SS than it is a classic. The car had some serious clear coat failure and I had every intention of having her repainted in a couple years from now......BUT I got lucky and a very good friend of mine told me to bring it to his shop and he would love to do it on his spare time.....i couldn't pass it up and he gave me a hell of a deal on doing it with some excellent quality materials.
Here are some pics of it, he doesnt live close so I drove it to his house one weekend and he took it to work to start and I asked if he could take pics as the process went on and so he did. At this very moment the car is not done yet he is still doing some work before paint and is actually filling in the holes from where the grille snapped in to the front clip.
Here are pics

The newest additions is a 2000 Chevy Silverado SCSB with a 5.3L. Body is a little dinged but it runs great, turns on a dime, its f***in red, good tires and i didnt pay much for it. It will be lowered, nicer wheels, mild 6.0l put in, buddy will build the transmission, get the body looking better, cowl hood and more and it should be pretty fun.

Thank you very much. The GTO i picked up around October i wanna say of 2014...it really is a fun car and very comfortable. When i first purchased it the motor would over heat and just never ran right. Tore the engine down and it had 4 or 5 different pistons in it if i remember correctly. Built the transmission myself even though it was just fine. The car is 100% numbers matching EXCEPT the color of interior and exterior. It was originally a bright blue with white interior now it is black on black which I prefer. Motor runs great now and has been on the hot rod power tour and has one hell of a cam in it. Got the exhaust off of it now due to the manifold gaskets leaking.

I didnt plan on putting the grille back in the car so my buddy filled the holes and it looks awesome. Cant even tell they were there.
This picture is obviously the color we chose. Its not 110% factory navy blue metallic but it is very close with a light pearl in it. Love how it looks.
This is where we are currently as of yesterday. He sprayed the jams and the spoiler, front bumper and rear pannel. The rest will start this coming week. Very excited to see this old girl done. Ive called her Veronica for years and me and her havent been apart this long so ill be glad to see her done.

Really starting to see it come together. Got my new windshield put in after having rust repaired and all new seals. New seals for the t-tops too. My buddy even did a bit of headlight restoration for me till I get new ones together. Been contemplating wheels alot lately which I will discuss in my next post.
Now for the paint
Headlights abd Mirrors

Here is where im stuck....either go with the traditional ZR1 17x11 C4 Wheels wide in the rear and front 17x9.5 with chrome OR......Newer style ZR1 wheels 18x10.5" Rear 17x9.5 Front. My car originally came with the painted ZR1's but ready for something new. None of these are mine but im torn based on how they look. All of these are options

A little update and the ending of the paint and body.
So we had ordered the paint when we first got the car tore down and a couple weeks before painting. Did the bumpers and jams before doing the body itself. Paint came out great, we knew we would need more paint based on the fact the paint laid on differently than what was expected. From what my buddy said is that it laid on very thin and it would take more paint than expected....no big deal at all so we ordered some extra and no big deal. Well the company we ordered the paint through took the order and delivered. Needless to say the paint they delivered sprayed on and looked correct but once cleared my buddy noticed the color was not correct at all. It came out with a navy blue metallic purple tint to it and that was no good. So naturally my buddy helping me out and doing this car for me, who thought he was finishing up just realized he had alot more work ahead of him.
Not his fault or mine. The paint company had the correct product but wrong formula and caused the purple. So he sanded her and removed all the new/wrong paint he just put on. I fealt bad for him. Paint company owned up to the mistake and replaced everything we needed which was to be expected and was nice but disappointing because my friend already had so much work in it.
Fast forward to last week, new paint/correct paint was being sprayed. He finished yesterday and delivered it back to me and he loved driving it. The car looks amazing and he did a wonderful job. It looks like a totally different car now and feels like new to me again. Havent got great pictures of it yet but i did take some. Here they are, it is navy blue pearl metallic, brightened up a little bit i guess you could say....i dont know the painters lingo. Beautiful color i think.
