Keep my car, Magnacharge...or buy c6z06??
Ive been going back and forth for a while on what to do here. Figured I would get fellow Camaro owners opinions. Ill post some details about my car so you guys could so kindly give me your input.
2000 Camaro SS 6 speed ~58k miles
Engine: PRC 2.5 heads, ARP head studs, Torquer V.2, LS6 Intake, 42Lb injectors, BBK headers, ORY, Magnaflow catback, Katech tensioner, SLP lid, SSRA, Tuned by slowhawk
Drivetrain: Dana 60 4.11s with relo brackets, Chromoly DS, UMI Torque arm relo, Monster Stage 3 clutch, Tick master, speed bleeder, Pro 5.0 shifter,
Suspension: Bilsteins, Hotchkiss lowering springs, UMI adjustable torque arm, Spohn front swaybar, UMI rear sway bar, UMI SFCs, J&M shock brace, J&M lower control arms with ball bushings
Brakes: 1st Gen CTS-V front brembos, 5th Gen Powerstop rotors, Powerstop pads, rear Powerstop rotors and pads, stainless lines, linelock
Wolfe weld in 4 point roll bar (is actually a 6 point, never put in the door bars) Gforce 5 point harnesses, Corbeau Forza seats, custom seat brackets, dual locking sliders.
Wheels: 18x9.5/18x10.5 c5Z06 wheels
Lighting: Depo whistlered headlights with Projectors and HIDs retrofitted in, 4300K HIDs, LED gauges
Misc: Innovate MTX wideband, Prosport water temp gauge, Pioneer am/fm/cd player with IPOD input, Pioneer 6.5s all around (stock "subwoofers" replaced with 6.5s, rear 4x6s deleted due to roll bar)
I think that's it, there probably more but this is just off the top of my head on the fly.
So my question is: I have a chance to buy a magnacharger kit fairly cheap. Should I buy that and spend around $5k all said and done with tune and miscellaneous bs...orrrrr sell my car, save up for a year and buy a low mileage c6z06? Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

I love the car I really do. It was my dream car prior to the c6z coming out. Now that is my dream car. But like you said I have a ton of work and money into my car...

After finally getting my SS back after 4 years with a different owner, I can honestly say I never should have sold it, but I am so happy to have it back. It sounds like you love your car as much as I do, so I'll say keep it and leave it how it is. The magnacharger will require a lot of work and alteration to the body to work.

I say keep it. I loove silver though. If your good with fab work I say Magnacharge it. Have you looked at what goes into a magnacharger? A lot of cutting of the cowl. SO I say keep and think about a huron speed turbo kit.. Not sure if you have rode in a turbo car or not but they are a blast! I've been down the vette rode and I always go back to an fbody cuz they are just more fun IMO.

Wouldn't you have to hack the S out of your cowl and lose your wipers to fit a maggie? If so probably not the best option if it's your only car.
Edit - maybe you wouldn't. I didn't go through the whole thread but it looks like he just had to do some minor trimming. I believe his wipers can go back on.

I keep going back and forth. It's not my only car but my daily might need replacing soon so thats a factor as well. Also not having a lift at home and having to work on the Vette is a thing of nightmares lol. I mean there's so many pros and cons for each but the biggest factors are my car is paid for and basically free aside from insurance and I worry about the ls7 dropping a valve then I have to shell out $12k to fix a car that I don't need lol

I'm not planning on getting rid of my Camaro. I've been through about 10 cars over the last few years including an s2k, new mercedes, 2010 Camaro, etc...And it always came back to me drooling over 4th gen fbodies. It sounds like you're in a similar situation, I'd love to have a c6zo6, but I won't sell my Camaro to do it.
