Loud Mouth...
For those with the SLP Loud Mouth exhaust.
What's the difference between the Loud Mouth I and the Loud Mouth II.
How long does the install take?
TIA

I don't have it but,
loudmouth I has resonators and the loudmouth IIs have race mufflers
i don't know how long install would be because i havn't ever installed one but i imagine it would only take a few hours.

The Loudmouth has a resonator (3 inch pipe turns into a 4" pipe, then back into a 3"). The Loudmouth II has a bullet muffler in it, because a lot of people were welding Dynomax or Borla bullet mufflers in place of the resonator in their Loudmouth to get rid of some rasp. Loudmouth II is definitely the way to go if you're considering between the two, especially if you have an A4.

The big question on Loudmouth exhaust, is does the Loudmouth II git rid of the horrible drone that is created when you run headers with the exhaust itself? Because the original Loudmouth is awesome, until you get headers, than it becomes annoying, and just plain... well annoying!!!

for your installation question, it only took me one night to put my loud mouth exhaust on, and i dont have any experiance with that stuff to, all you have to do is cut the stock pipe above the rear axle to get it out, then just bolt up the new one, thats really just it.

I had the Loudmouth with stock manifolds and cats and it sounded pretty good.
Installed it myself in the garage in about 2½ hours, and that was the first time I had ever touched exhaust on a car.
But I ditched the Loudmouth when I got headers because I'm running no cats.
It sounds decent with headers if you run cats though.
Original Loudmouth is louder than Loudmouth II.

I bout it for my 1996 SS for $315 shipped from LM performance this past Summer. Sounded awesome! It will sound different on an LS1 car though, i'm sure its still good. The SLP Loudmouth system is reallllly good quality. The bends are real nice, and with a little polish the system looks great under the car too! I would recomend getting it welded on... I notice my tips would shift after a day or so... My buddy that does exhaust says its very common to see these clamp systems shift. He said the stainless pipe used is just too thick, and they really should be welded, not just clamped to ensure it all stays put.
After the weld I noticed it to be ALOT quieter tho... I was shocked that it must have been leaking to get that extra sound. Very good system though! LM Performace kicks *** too!

Last week I bought the LM II and it was a very simple and easy install that took me about an hour and a half simply because I didn't have the right tool for the job, it probably took me about 10 mins to get the LM together after I finally got the old exhaust off... now don't laugh but all i had was a handheld grinder and a hack saw
And if you're looking for a first hand detailed account I found this site before i installed mine http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/slploudmouth.htm

yea so i put the exhaust on last night. got started at about 930 finished at about 12 because i must be retarted or something. I even had a lift too.
Well all went well just took a while. Hardest part was getting off the old intermediate pipe. Thought i had to torch the original slip joint cuz it would not move but we ended up cutting the pipe and twisting it off with a big monkey wrench. Other than that only one more cut was made to get the pipe out from over the axle. New stuff bolted right on pretty easily. Hardest part is getting the tips straight. (theyre still not lol)
All in all not too difficult of a job, lift made it a lot easier. But the exhaust sounds awesome and i do notice some top end power increase.
Any body know what kind of HP TQ gain it improves from stock?
