ls6 intake manifold
How wise of an investment is the ls6 intake manifold for my 2000 z28? The advertisements claim that you'll see a 15-20 hp gain, but the part alone is at least 400 bucks without the labor.

get a 90mm fast lsx, u will have to pay double, but will see a bigger increase in power over ls6. Don't forget you will need to buy a throttle body as well (400 bucks). If you don't want to do it yourself, it should be about 125 bucks for intake and t/b install.

My point being is that those high flowing expensive intakes and throttle bodies won't help you as much if you don't have the rest of the mods to back it up. It would be overkill to have that on a stock motor
