Default Quick 1974 Camaro question..

Anyone have a clue if an older body style front end will fit a 74? I just picked one of these up for a project and this front end looks awful IMO. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

I have seen that done in a car mag before and the body lines matched but I can't say if it was a direct swap.

70 - 74 should fit and match up pretty well, just change the whole front clip together, the subframe should be the same, 67 - 69 wont.
of the 2nd gens I think the 70 RS split bumper front end looks the best, and go with the short rear spolier

earlier will fit like said above much easier to change the whole front clip if you have it.

yes the 70-77 fenders are the same and the 78-81 fenders are the same except the z fenders those had the cut out. The only thing that changed was the brackets for the bumpers and the front facia. The hood was the same for all 70-81 only thing that changed was the hood scoops that bolted on. the 74 was the only year to have the small back window and the wrap around tail lights for what its worth.

Thanks for the extra help and that thread. I was thinking about a 70-73 Firebird front clip as well, this should fit right? I removed the whole front end and front fenders today, so I need to be finding something pretty soon.

the firebird stuff will bolt up physicaly but the body lnes are slightly different. theres a body line on the bottom of the front fenders at the back of the wheel well that follows all the way to the back right before the rear wheel well.
