A recent post I made sparked a question in my head. How many of you think IROC Camaros are mainly hick cars? How many of you really like them? After you post the poll, if you could post your age, it would be great!

I dislike 99% percent of them .... but every once in a while you'll run across one that looks brand new from the factory, not modded in any way, low miles, just clean, I like those. 19 years Old

Oh and I also like the ones with LS1/T56 swaps

I think the 3rdGen Camaros got better every year and I love the 1991-92 Z28s with the tall wing and faux hood scoops. The later dash was just about perfect and the L98 moved them out pretty well. If I could find a non-ratty 1992 L98 Z28, Id probably buy it. BTW, I'm 39 and have never been a "hick"...

No Mullet here and grew up around Iroc's. My Cousins and Buddys had Irocs, and I went to by a Black 91' Z28 but when I returned to the dealer some kid and his girlfriend were in there signing the papers- so I just happened to drive down the street and pick up my first 5.0 LX.

Otherwise I would have had a third gen. Compared to the Fox bodys back in the day they seemed like torque monsters (5.7's), had an awesome exhaust note, cool looking TPI and nice wide tires.....back in the day.

I dislike third gens for the most part strictly because 99.9% of the ones you see are ragged out, NASTY, and being driven by retarded *** kids.

Then there's that handful of times a year when you see a really nice one... then they don't look so bad. I wish there were more in good shape running around, they can look so good.

In general they look alright stock, but they get f'd by most of their owners.

There is one that I love and it is far from stock. Avoided Z-28's is one bad machine. Ray has done an amazing job with that car.

^^^ I agree 100%. Third gens for the most part are hard to come by in nice shape, but when you find that one in a hundred, it really can be a gem if it's done right. I'm with the guy way up above that said they got better every year. I think I would only want to own a 91-92.

In a way, the LT1 cars are becoming like the third gens. Most of them now are ragged out and driven by morons. But there are cars in nice shape that are tastefully modded by guys like those of us on here. You just have to look harder.

Yep. My 94 Z was just that... ragged out. I bought it with the intent of bringing it back, had this vision in my head of an SS hood, hugger orange with 35th stripes. And then the Z06 happened and I knew very quickly where all my money was going to go, so I passed it on.

Back on topic, here's an example of one of those rare beauties... just posted in the appearance section today.

And when a nice one does come up for sale, it can be really $$$:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3761327&rd=1,1

That's more than LS1s with similar miles are going for!

I love a clean thrid gen. Those arent very easy to find a lot of the time, but when there is one that isnt totally ragged out, i think they are awesome.

Crazy, I bought my SS for 12,900 w/ 20,000 miles on the clock! Then again I feel like I stole that car.

I like IROCS. The Z28's seem plain. But they are both slow. I think third gen TA's look good. Overall I still think they are cool cars. I would love to own a 89 Turbo TA.

I think the iroc camaro is one of the best camaros ever made. I think that third gens are the ****, and irocs just back that up even more. To me finding a clean third gen is rare, and when i found mine i know i found a great deal. I get more compliments on my third gen then i ever have in my 99ls1. But hey "to each his own".

Oh and by the way, i dont have a mullet, i have waves...
