1998 Camaro 3800 to 1998 LS1
HELP!!!1!!
We put a 1998 ls1 a4 in an originally equipped 3800 a4 1998 Camaro.
The hard part swap went flawless, looks factory of course. Anyhow, the engine does not have any fire. i cannot figure out why. I have not had a chance to look at the connectors on the strut tower. I am thinking that is where the problem lies.
All we swapped:
front suspension
engine trans
rear end
engine harness and pcm
fuel pump assembly and fuel lines
I think it is in the exterior harness. If anyone can verify this I would appreciate it.
I have done multiple swaps on 00-02 cars, just never on a 98 model. I do not have any manuals for the 98 cars either so that is no help. I have a ton of exterior harnesses from ls1 cars that I can use or pull wires from.

THere are numberous wires that are different in the interior harness and the one on the strut tower between the v6 an v8 cars. Your gonna need a pinout for them or Helm manual for a 98 F body.

The pcm came from a car that I drove. It is a t56 pcm, but I would think it should atleast start the car...
Checked for spark - yes
Fuel Pump - yes
Injector Signal - Noid light flashes 2 to 3 times then stops. This is after initial crank.
The car still will not start....
