Default carb clearence

ok got a 95 camaro and dropping in a carb motor how do i get the carb to clear everything? my buddy did this and had a problem with the carb hitting that black piece just below the windshield and then i look at some and its like they moved the motor up or something

I believe they have to cut the cowl area away and you loose your windsheild wipers. Here's and LS1 with a carb intake in a 4th gen camaro. I forget who's car it is.

o ok cause my buddy just gave me the 4th gen needs a lil work not too much and i bought a 400 sbc and 350sbc last nite and was going to drop one in it and was wondering what to do to clear the cowl i noticed some of the 4th gen look like they some how maybe moved the mounting up or something and was trying to figure out what i needed to do about it with a high rise itake etc.etc.

Yes, you have to cut the hood.
