Default header build?

building a ls1 6spd Bimmer for a customer. now i am building my own set of headers for this car. thing i am wondering is the collector. is there an order in which cylinder location for which pipe goes in?

i thought there was a reason for pipes in certain spot in collector instead of where ever works easiest. sorry if sound confusing.

to my knowledge, no, it does not matter. i bought a how to build your own performance headers kit and in the literature and audio cd, nothing is touched on in regards to orientation. you can tune your exhaust/scavaging further with collector design but nothing that i know of regarding tube orientation within the collector. i do not claim to be a pro of any sort, just sharing. hope this is helpful. post a pic of your headers, love to see what people come up with.
