Default Traction control questions

Does anyone know how the LS3 traction control works or what it needs? We're putting an LS3 in a Miata with the GMPP harness, and the traction control would probably be really really handy. I've got access to HP Tuner, but it's the electrical side I'm wondering about.

What sort of wheel sensors does it need? On all four wheels or just the drive wheels? Anyone have wiring diagrams?

Keith, an LS3 is an engine description. What car are you referring to? A Vette?

If you are using the GMPP harness and PCM, I don't believe that it's capable of of enabling the TC

LG motorsports has been working on a stand-alone T/C system for C6 Vettes. It's not cheap.

"Works great, however it isnt as fine-tuneable as say a motec or Bosch, as it cuts cylinders. Thats 12.5% reduction in tq, which isnt always necessary, sometimes only a 2-4% reduction in tq is necessary.

Other than me being pickey (1.8 60's in the rain) it works fantastic!

We used them in 05 and 06 in the WC cars with good luck. Car was definitely faster with it than with out it.

As far as I know, the LS3 is only available in the '08 Vette in the US, wasn't it? But it's the wiring harness that matters in this case. Between the 480 hp engine (it's cammed) and a 2500 lb weight with not much room for tires, I think traction control will be required to increase the life expectancy of the owner.

Thanks for the info Phil, I'll see if there's anything I can glean from LG.
