Default How much money?

So I searched the site and everywhere else. But I have a question. I have an 02 Mustang GT 5 speed. I really like the car and the way it rides, but it has no power.
I really want to put an LS1 into it. I love the motors and they are so easy to work on and make power. I also think it would be awesome to have an LS1 in a Ford car. And it would be fun to **** off Mustang owners.
So how much money do you think it would take to do it right?? And what all would I need to do it? And has anybody on here done it/have a link to a build thread or webiste?
All your help is appreciated. Thanks.

swapping a ls1 engine into an older vehicle, i spent about.
5k$+ and this was with self fabricated, headers, exhaust, stanadalone harness, so 5k$ is a pretty basic range for a basic pullout motor swap.assuming u can fabricate your own exhaust and intake ducting.

I had about 5k-6k in my swap... but I did a carb and not FI and auto tranny over manual...little cheaper and easier to do.

IMO

^^^ LOL!

to the OP 5k for a basic swap sounds about right.. of course you can always spend as much as you want/can afford. ;-) Usualy budgets go out the window in most cases. Ive seen some that are good about sticking to their budget. I always account for a little so I'll go with 6k if your good at finding deals and keep it mostly stock. I would go auto to save money t56 set ups are pretty expensive.
