Coolant sensor
I have a 93 fox and I am wanting to utilize the factory gauges as much as possible. I was wondering if I could simply take the wire coming off the gauge in the factory cluster and connect it to either the factory wire from the computer or if I could tap into the sendor its self. I dont see why this wouldnt work but if anyone has done it and was succesful that would be of help.

The ford sensor is standard and the lsx is metric and I dont have room to use that because I have a downpipe back there.
Could I plug a 98 sensor into my motor even though its a 2002 comp/harness? Are you using the factory ford sensor? If so what wires did you hook up.

If thats the case I will have to end up going with an aftermarket gauge.. maybe I can hide it somewhere. I hate to many guages!
Im going to do a search to see if I can tap into lsx sending unit with an aftermarket guage.

That is what I had to do for my swap, it works perfectly with my 1995 Gauges in my Camaro because they are still Analog Gauges.
I don't know about how you would have to do it with the Mustang, may have to go with an aftermarket Gauge and wire it like I described.
