Default Oilpan swap?
Can anyone tell me what has to be done in order for the 5.3 oilpan to fit onto my 5.7 LS1?

nothing, use the pickup to match the pan, bolt it on!!!

What about the dipstick and tube, do they go in a different place?

You need to use the dipstick and indicator tube, that belongs to the pan
