Hi Guys ...
I am thinking about doing my own fuel tank/pump,But i am wondering cab the o.e. sending unit be modified to work? Also on a stock ls2 what pump and does anyone have a part number. I am gong to use a corvette fuel filter. Any ideas? Thanks .P.s. I am doing this because i am cheap , i can get the tank with pump for 600.00 dollars.

if your cheap just get an external walbro 255, mount it on the frame and use the stock pick-up / sending unit.

I agree with lsxmalibu. I installed a big block sending unit in my cutlass which has a 3/8 feed and 1/4 return or vent which can be used for the return line form the vet filter/reg. The first google search I found one for a 1969 camaro if they are the same as your 67 then that is all you need. I assume your tank allready has a vent line in it, my cutlass did.

Yes you can build a new tank to use the stock sending unit.
