Default TAC for '06 LQ4 motor?

Hello, I am swapping an '06 LQ4 into my Jeep. I was told by a few people that I would need the TAC module to get the DBW throttle to work.......however a few others are telling me that there is no TAC with the '06-present motors.

Can anyone clarify this for me? I have the pedal, but the guys that pulled it just cut the harness about 6" past the connector. Motor is from an '06 Chev 2500 if that matters.

Thanks!

Any LQ4 (GEN-III engine) would still use a TAC module.

Ah, ok thanks.

Can you tell me where in the truck it is mounted on the truck? The guy pulling all this stuff for me has no clue where it's at and neither do I.

tell the guy to pull the gas peddle for you and follow the wires, they will take you through the firewall and to the tac module. you may as well get the complete harness, airflow meter and O2's with the motor as well. Just get everything and get rid of whatever you don't need later.

It's bolted to the firewall by the brake booster.

Thanks guys, I already have the pedal........they cut the harness about 6" from the pedal.......hence my problem. The guy went and looked for the module for me today but couldn't find it. I will get a hold of them and get it removed with the other half of the harness.
