Nice, I just bolted a set on to my C6 before the Power Tour, they came in handy in the hills in KY/TN towards the end of the tour.

So I did a couple of things lately. Hooked up my air ride suspension, front brakes, steering linkage, removed stock rear end. I had awesome news this week, my MWC fabbed 9 was shipped yesterday or will be today. So here is a couple of pics of what was done and of how it sits patiently waiting for its new rear.

And finally this one showing the rim/caliper clearance. I had to have the front tires removed from the rims to install a new flush mount valve. These rims have the valve installed inside of the wheel, behind one of the spokes. It was touching the caliper when the wheel was turning. Same apply to the rears as this pic shows.

Hey guys, I finally received my rear end after weeks and weeks of wait. Its a Midwest Chassis unit. Ford 9" Aluminum third member, 31 splines, true trac, 4.11, Ford Torinon big bearing flanges to allow C6Z brakes and a functionnal E-brake. I got the brake bracket kit from Kore3.

This thing is a piece of art, it comes with the adjustable torque arm and a tranny crossmember similar to the BMR trak pak unit. I still have to fit it under the car and weld it but the rear is in. It even has built on housing LCA relocators.

Im almost done modifying the coil spring mounts to install my rear air bags.
Ill let the pics to the rest of the talking. More pics on page 7 of my cardomain.

Fantastic work! That rear axle looks sick and cant be cheap! Nice to see another modded 3rd gen f-body in canada! Yours is simply much cleaner than mine..good job. I love the look of those rims and headlamps..gives me some ideas for mine! I actually ordered the same k-member a week ago..love the way it looks..can't wait to see it on mine. I'll need to post my pics too soon.
Bonne chance!!

That's one helluva car! I'm curious to hear what you think of the Air ride suspension. I've thought about that, but I want it to handle good too.

The rear end is installed in the car, I still need to plumb the brakes and finish a couple of brackets I started a couple of days ago. One will be to relocate my PHB to the correct angle and the other to attach my Torque Arm to the tranny x-member. I also need to install 1350 type rear u-joint for the driveshaft.

Headers are waiting for me to pick them up (US adress, I need to go there to pick it up). Once those are installed the worst and most expensive stuff will be done. Then Ill be left with double checking everything, plumbing fuel and see if it cranks over.

A10beav, I dont know yet about handling but one thing is sure, I LOVE the adjustability. From the reviews Ive heard, it seems that it outperforms the coils, we will see. With the 4" exhaust going under the car and the MWC rear end its limiting my rear drop.

When the bump stops hits the axle I have no fender gap @ the rear wheels and my rear end rests on the gas tank (its a plastic tank) not a lot, but it touches it in the middle. So I might go with a custom tank in future... even tho that wouldnt do anything to help the 4" pipe coming over the axle. It would get crushed between the body and the axle.
