What does you pickup look like and where is the pump mounted in relation to it?

I am not having any issues as of now but I have heard people talk about them getting hot and that sort of stuff. I was just curious.

I have a aeromotive filter attatched right to the pump (model #?) and it is below the sump on the fuel cell just to the right of it, you can see pics of it in the PICS OF MY V8 POWERED HONDA S2000 thread on here.

Install it correctly and you should be fine.

FWIW, correctly means the pump is even or below the bottom of the tank (gravity primed) with -10 fittings and a 100 micron prefilter (Aeromotive brand preferrably).

I have a sumped tank, with a -10 90* elbow to a -10 A1000 100 micron prefilter to the A1000 (mounted level with the sump) to -10 line to a 10 micron post filter to -10 to my rails. This goes through the rails (-8 crossover) to an A1000 regulator, to -6 AN return to the tank.

FWIW, I keep it above 1/4 tank (which is ~4-5 gallons) at all times. I've done some 3 hour drives and the pump isn't hot to the touch at the end of it, and my fuel pressure never wavers. I do NOT run a controller on the pump, just 8 gauge wire from the battery (via a 30 amp relay and 30 amp fuse).

Edit: the pump is also mounted behind the spare tire well, out in the air on my car, so it's "air cooled" while driving also. I've not been stuck in traffic for more than 15-20 minutes at any point, so I can't speak to it's happiness in that situation.

i have run a few, so far no problems-the one now is mounted in the back, kind of splits the center of the tank, good wiring thru the relay right to the battery-i did a 3 1/2 hour trip this summer, pump never got hot-also did a parade on the boardwalk, so it idled a long time, no problem
#10 feed, #8 return-also made a few 10 sec passes, always feed the Procharger no problem

I've had friends with issues when mounting them in weird locations (not level with tank), but I never have problems with my own. The people whom usually seem to have issues have inadequate supply line to the pump or the pump has to "work" to pull fuel to itself, which they are not designed to do.
