Default Cadillac CTS-V oil pan

I would like to put the Cadillac CTS-V oil pan into a "G" Body car and in the oil pan "Stickies" it has the oil pan as being part#12577901. I went to the dealer and found that the oil pan number is no longer available and has been superseded to another number. The dealer said that it has been superseded by part #12605814. Since GM is noted to change part numbers quite frequently I had him order that pan along with part#12611129 and part#12621299 which is supposed to be the Baffle and the oil pickup screen.Brought them home and opened the boxes and found that the pan doesn't look anywhere like what is in the "Stickies". I have a few questions that hopefully some of you would know.
1. What does #12605814 ,#12611129, & #12621299 Fit?
2. What are the latest numbers for the Cadillac CTS-V oil pan , oil pump pickup, windage tray, dipstick & dipstick tube?
3. What year Cadillac CTS-V is the CORRECT oil pan from?

Hopefully someone has recently purchased the CTS-V oil pan and has the correct superseded part numbers.

If the oil pan part numbers have indeed changed maybe the moderators can change the part numbers in the "Stickies".
Thanks guys.

Brian, first of all I want to say that you did one heck of a nice job on your 71 Malibu. Beautiful Car. I looked at the pictures of your CTS-V oil pan and mine is similar. I will be sending you a PM as I have never learned how to post pics to the forum. They didn't have computers when I grew up. LOL

Default CTS-V pictures

Here are the pictures from Rich, I am posting them for him..

His last two show a different of a Zerk Fitting in the bypass and 4 threaded Bosses on the Left side of the pan. Other than that, the pans appear to be the same basic shape.. but without them sitting next to each other, ??)

These are different from the early pan, Zerk, 4 threaded bosses and on the Right side, there is something there, but He didn't provide a picture of that side.

here are two more from my swap that I did a few years ago, comparing the CTS-V and the F-Body Pans

bczee. Thanks a lot for posting the pics for me. One of these days I have to learn to do this myself. On the right side of the pan is a connector with 3 prongs inside the connector which I believe is for low oil level warning lamp. My LS376/480 engine has the same plug on it. I wasn't too concerned about that plug. That is why I neglected to take pictures of it. The dimensions of the pan pretty much are like the one that you have posted, (Top pan). What I am concerned about is where the oil drain plug comes out which is straight out the back of the pan pointing towards the trans pan. As far as the 4 bosses sticking out I am pretty sure that I could just cut them off and do some smoothing to make them look good The pan itself measures 21 1/2" long from front to back. The sump measures about 10 1/2" from front to the back of the engine. Side to side measurements of the sump is about 9" without measuring the 4 bosses on the left side (filter side) of the pan. This pan probably could be made to work because it does look similar to the one that bczee has posted in his bottom pics. Only difference is that I have those 4 bosses, oil pan plug pointing straight out the back towards the trans pan. And the Zerk fitting in the oil by pass. I am not even worrying about that because I am sure I could put an oil temp gauge in where the zerk fitting is. The factory may have helped me and saved me some time in drilling and tapping for the sending unit for the gauge.
I just wished that GM didn't supersede the part number in the stickie that is #12577904 with another number. That would have saved a lot of confusion. That was the pan that I was looking for.
Does anyone know what the purpose of that zerk fitting is for??? Does anyone know what the 4 bosses are for on the drivers side of the pan???? If we can get this straightened out the Moderators may have to change the oil pan stickies to reflect the new numbers in order that nobody else gets confused. Thanks bczee and everyone else that is trying to help me out with the superseded numbers.

Not sure about the zerk fitting but I think the mounts are for the oil cooler that the 2010 Camaro runs. I assume it is on the Caddy also..
Check the link below and scroll down for a picture..

buddyholly, I do believe that you are correct what those 4 bosses are for. I looked at Altitude 65 thread and those are the same four bosses that I have on my Cadillac CTS-V pan. Obviously the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V also has provisions to mount a water cooled oil cooler. This can easily be verified with a GM parts person which i will probably do tomorrow. One mystery I believe is solved. Now why the Zerk fitting above the oil filter? As far as the pan itself goes it looks like the same dimensions as the original CTS-V pan part#12577901 which is in the oil pan stickies. Also bczee looks like he is using the same original oil pan as in the Stickies. Thanks buddy.

Well guys I had called "Jesse" at Scoggin-Dickey and he did confirm that the Cadillac CTS-V oil pan part numbers have been changed and that the new part numbers are as follows:
CTS-V oil pan: Part#12605814
Oil pan Baffle: Part# 12611129
Oil pump pickup: Part# 12621299
Oil dipstick tube: Part# 12584737
Oil dipstick: Part# 12584738
The 4 bosses on the drivers side of the pan are for a water cooled oil cooler such as what is on the 2010 Camaro.
Nobody seems to know what that ZERK fitting is for above the oil filter where some guys put a sending unit for an oil pressure gauge. Anybody know???

Thanks to all who contributed their input:

bczee for posting my pictures for me. See Post #6
iansane for his input
buddyholly for his input on the oil cooler
"Jesse" at Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center. Thanks Guys

Maybe one of the moderators can change the part numbers in the OIL PAN STICKIES to reflect the new numbers since the old ones are no longer used???

I needed an oil pan baffle and ordered this part# based on an earlier post in this thread. 12611129
This my friends is not an oil pan baffle, this is a windage tray. Anyone got the part# for the baffle for the CTS-V pan?

to be GM Technically correct, it is not a windage tray either.. it is a Defector ! LOL.. go figure...

The CTS-V Defector/Windage Tray/Baffle is the same as a LH8 or any other truck one. Most of the full length one all the same and should work. One noted exception is that of the F-body one, which is 3/4 Length.

Absolutely correct. It is labeled deflector on the label. Trouble is, My LM4 already has one. So now I have 2 and still no pan baffle.
