PCM for 5.3L to 4L60E tranny Here's a simple question that I hope has a simple answer:
If I am using a manual transmission, does my PCM need to be reflashed to a manual transmission setup?
(My original PCM was setup for a GM 5.3L Vortec engine and 4L60E transmission.)
I've been reading different things on the board here and I'd like someone to possibly clear this up.

I believe the answer is yes but since I am not a programmer I can't say for sure. I do know the guy that does mine always wants to know what transmission and gear I am running. The best place to get this answer would be the tuning section of this forum.
