240sx ls1 questions
hi, so i am building a 240sx s13 and putting an ls1 and t56 trany out of an 04 gto in it and i was just curious what all i am going to need to do. my main question is mostly about the rear end.. i plan on drifting the car and i am curious what kind of rear end i am goin to need or if i could just keep the one in it? also, what am i going to have to do with the wiring, what kits will work and what wont? another question is the coil over suspension... i think i am going to go with tein super drift.. theyre kinda expensive but i feel they will be worth it. i have about 6 k to spend and all i have is the engine, the trany, and the car. any suggestions please let me know thank you.

I don't know if you can help me or know how I can get in touch with somebody that can. I tried joining that forum and it told me I had to be approved or what not. I still can't log into the website. My username on there is Keith.

Yeah, Silviav8forums will be the best place to start.
I have a 97 240sx with a L33 and I can tell you that you don't want to stick with the stock Diff. Stock diff in most S13 is open with 4.10 gears. With the LS1, 1st and 2nd become useless. I swapped in a 95 Q45 Diff which is LSD with 3.54 gear.
Also, there are a handfull of kits out there. Hinson, Daft, Sikky and now even Otto Factory. All have applications for the S13, it just depends on what you want to spend. Considering you already have the Car, Tranny and engine you should be able to complete your project with the 6k budget, but it really just depends on how you spend.
