Default ECM placement?

Building a '74 C10 and was originally planning on running the ECM and fuse block (I cut down orig harness) in the cab behind the seats. Starting to consider running it in the engine bay.

Any pros and cons of either option?

I considering the engine bay to avoid carpet bulges

GM put them under the hood, don't know why it wouldn't work in a swap.

On my 68 C10 I mounted the ECM behind the glove box. It takes away some of the glove box but it gets the ECM out of the engine compartment for a cleaner look.

I'm adding a vintage air unit so behind glove box is out.

Just scopes out there he engine bay, looks like routing to top of driver side inner fender looks attractive.

Turbo is gonna hang on the passenger side

I'm considering a spot above the inner fender but below the outer fender on the passenger side. Not sure yet.

Ive mounted them on top of the glove box and put the fuse block in the glove box. Ive also mounted them under seat if harness is long enough. Just always looks cleaner to me with it inside the cab wire tucked.
