I'm laughing about the easier and cheaper comment. That's funny I went EFI for the same reason! I got all the EFI stuff with my first Gen III and found it was going to cost me additional $ to go carb and limited my hood clearance. Besides I like a challenge so I did all the wiring myself which is much easier than it sounds, but I used to do car audio in the 90's when it was hard to be loud. From the tuning angle, I bought HP Tuners (EFI Live is just as good) and worked some magic on my own with a wideband. I'm not a tuner but there are lots of posts with some good info on how to tune your car and the techniques work.

No fly cutting on the pistons. The car runs and sounds good, but If I had my time back I probaly would not of choose this cam. I bought a cam, valvesprings, and pushrods as apackage deal from a member here on ls1tech, because it was cheap. At the time I didn't know anything about LS motors. I would go tighter on the LSA and more lift and duration. I think with the stock LQ4 you can run up to a .650 lift cam without piston-valve clearance.

No dyno figures, I'm guessing 400-450 at the crank. I haven't took it to the track yet. A cold winter has set in on NC, so it will be spring before I get an ET slip. I just finished the car a few weeks ago. I've drove the car maybe 5 miles. From a dead stand still it shreds the tires instantly. If you are crusing along in low gear, and stomp if it dosen't brake the tires loose it pulls like a bat outa hell. My car is heavy also. Fox bodys are lighter so I'd imagine it would would pull good.

My budy at ALL Pro Exhaust and Performance did the exhaust. I'm a little disapponted because he did not install a h pipe. Maybe he can do this spring. It still sounds good though. I'm running the MSD 6ls box with chip #1. When the weather breaks I'm gonna play around with the programable timing, and see what the car likes.
