Which years of Chevy 4x4 will be easiest to swap an LS1 into it?
I am talking about Pre-1999 4x4's.

Really any of them with a small block from the factory would be best, considering you should be able to use the factory transmission and transfer case. Depends on what you'll be using the truck for, but I'm a sucker for 73-87's.

It would just be a reliable truck. Not a racing machine.
I used to have an 84 silverado. Put 250,000 miles on that 305 and still ran strong. I loved pushing shopping carts with it..I had to sell it a long time ago.
