This winter, plan on taking the prostreet stuff off my 85 Astro (page 2 of cardomain page) and installing it on to the LS1 Astro.

Skip: Check out the photobucket pictures, they show the work that had to done.
the merv: plan on a posi 9 inch Ford this winter
Tig: next summer, pretty much winter already, here in Michigan
HioSSilver: runs great, doesnt spin tires on launch, picks up body and goes. There are a few V8 awd Astro, lot of work to do, but mild V8s, not sure if the stock awd drive can handle the hp/torque of the LS1.
Novaman: The body of the tubbed one is rusty: both rockers, both quarters, back doors and side door. The core support is also tweaked from accident. I should have started with better body. The cost to fix and paint is 4x more than when I started the build, back in 98. I will miss it, but will have more fun with the LS1 Astro. I feel the dark green and windows gives it more of a sleeper look than the other one.

Plans have changed, sold motor, tranny and other parts from the 85 prostreet Astro. I will be transferring the pro street parts from the 85 to the 98 LS1 Astro. I should be starting on it pretty soon.

Checking wheel clearence, this is pretty close to actual ride height
Trimming interior pieces for tubs and roll bar
Roll bar installed. Tubs are in, just need some more seam sealer and carpet.

It looks great so far! Any updates? I have a '98 Astro and would like to drop a LS1 in it. The old Vortec still runs great, though. After driving my friends new s/c'd Tundra for a week, my Astro feels like a conestoga wagon.

I have not been on here in awhile.
I received a Top 50 at Camp N Drag (mainly a truck & mini truck show) back in 2013. 2014, received Editors Choice Top Ten show car at Super Chevy in Martin, MI.
